Retul is setting new standards in Dynamic, 3-D data capture with accuracy tolerances within one millimetre. It incorporates an amazingly precise three-dimensional motion capture technology, immediate reporting capability, and millimetre-specific digitising tool to provide the most accurate dynamic fitting solution in the industry for the perfect biomechanical fit.

The Retul system uses 3-dimensional views and infra-red LEDs (light emitting diodes) placed on the body of the rider in specific skeletal locations.

A 3D scanner is then used to measure the location of each LED 29 times per second. This allows rapid collection of real information about a rider's position and movement while riding under load. The Retul analysis software then synchronises with our own CompuTrainer, recording real time power data at the same time as rider motion.

Retul system can see the precise biomechanics of areas including:

knee tracking, knee flexion/extension and lateral movements, hip movement, travel, extension and angle, forearm angle, power output, speed and cadence.

This data is then used in order to make the best decisions on adjustments to the cyclist riding position.

Retul views the rider in three dimensions rather than two, giving the fitter a broader snapshot of the rider's biomechanics on the bike.

Retul provides measurement accuracy and repeatability, rather than using measurements subject to inaccuracy and human error.

Retul allows our bike fitters to analyse a data set of averaged pedal strokes from the rider, rather than relying on a single frame of video.

Retul calculates data reports within seconds, eliminating manual post-processing. Reports are archived for future reference.

Rider questionnaire and biomechanical Assessment including clients riding history, training levels, injury history and goals. This information is key to the fit process as each rider is different and an ideal fit must always suit the rider.

Warm-up and initial pre screening of rider

3D digitalised bicycle set-up and analysis at current bike position using the Retul 3D System and CompuTrainer.  Measurements are taken from each side of the rider to check for imbalances.

Bicycle adjustments and/or recommendations are made based on measurements and observations.  Further measurements are taken to ensure desired effect after any adjustments.

Post 3D motion analysis is provided of the bike geometry.  Rider and fitter agree on a final fit that is comfortable, powerful and efficient.

Comprehensive personalised report of all changes is provided to the rider and archived for future reference.
